Free Tax Preparation Services Available
Tax season can be stressful, but for many hardworking families, it’s also an opportunity to secure much-needed financial relief. To help, we encourage Chester County residents to take advantage of the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (LTM VITA) program. VITA provides free tax preparation for low-and moderate-income households and has become an essential service to thousands in our community.
- Taxes are prepared by IRS-Certified Volunteers
- Absolutely no fees
- Fast refunds with direct deposit
- File online or drop-off services available
VITA offers customer service site locations in key areas throughout Chester County, as well as a virtual service option.
Last year, the VITA program in Chester County prepared over 2,500 tax returns, securing millions of dollars in refunds for local residents. Beyond benefiting individuals, this influx of refunds strengthens the entire community by stimulating the local economy. To learn more about locations, times, and what to bring, click here.
