Leadership Chester County Accepting Applications for its 2024-2025 Class

Leadership Chester County (LCC), the region’s premiere professional development program, is thrilled to announce that it is now accepting applications for its highly anticipated 2024-2025 program. This respected leadership development course is designed to cultivate and empower emerging leaders, providing them with the essential skills and knowledge to positively impact their communities. Participants complete the program fully prepared to serve on nonprofit boards in our community. The program convenes one full weekday each month from October to May, with a limited number of spots available. The application deadline is September 30, 2024.

LCC’s comprehensive curriculum covers critical areas such as civic engagement, community development, collaboration, and effective communication. Participants will benefit from interactive sessions featuring distinguished speakers, community leaders, and subject matter experts who will offer valuable insights, experiences, and strategies for successful leadership. Graduates return to their organizations equipped with enhanced leadership, and entrepreneurial skills, along with a deeper understanding of the local socio-economic landscape and new competencies in management, planning, and strategic thinking Nonprofit board placement assistance helps each LCC graduate identify community organizations that match their interests, passions and skills.

LCC seeks applicants from diverse professional backgrounds, including nonprofit organizations, government agencies, private corporations, and educational institutions. Ideal candidates should demonstrate a strong commitment to community service, a desire for personal and professional growth, and a vision for the future of Chester County.

Administered and facilitated by Chester County United Way and in partnership with West Chester University and the Chester County Chamber of Business & Industry, the LCC program has a rich history spanning 23 years. With 560 graduates, 146 sponsors, and 435 nonprofits benefitting from LCC alumni serving on their boards or as staff, the program continues to make a significant impact on the community.
