United Way Community Update

Dust off your leg warmers and tease up your hair because a blast from the past is coming your way! Join us for an unforgettable journey back to the 80s at our Live United in Music event on Thursday, September 12 at Penn Oaks Golf Club, featuring the legendary band, Decade80. This event, presented by Di & Dallas Krapf and CTDI, will benefit our financial security programs.

Admission is $225 per person and includes a cocktail reception with an open bar, hors d’oeuvres, dinner, and performance ($200 of the cost is tax deductible). Doors open at 5:30 pm and 80s attire is encouraged.

In collaboration with the Chester County Department of Human Services, join us for an informative session where they will provide an update on the Human Needs Network. This meeting is designed for Chester County providers to gain insights into the latest developments and next steps of the initiative.

During this meeting, you will learn about:

  • The Human Needs Network’s structure and recent updates
  • How referrals are now being made and how providers can get involved
  • The 2-1-1 information and referral service, which assists individuals in need of housing, utility support, and other human services
  • The 988 suicide and crisis lifeline, a 24/7 service staffed by trained mental health counselors who can dispatch local mobile crisis resolution teams if necessary
  • The Mobile Crisis Resolution Teams and how they respond to a crisis

Following the meeting, lunch will be provided, offering a valuable opportunity to network with fellow providers and discuss collaborative efforts to support our community.

This meeting is geared towards CEOs, Executive Directors, and Senior Staff of local providers. Limit two people per agency.
