Leadership Chester County (LCC), Chester County’s premiere professional development program, is thrilled to announce that it is now accepting applications for its highly anticipated 2023-2024 program. This esteemed leadership development initiative aims to nurture and empower emerging leaders, equipping them with the skills and knowledge necessary to make a positive impact in their communities. The program meets one full weekday a month from October to May, and the deadline to apply is September 30, 2023. Limited spots are available.
The program’s curriculum encompasses various areas of focus, including civic engagement, community development, collaboration, and effective communication. Through interactive sessions, participants will engage with renowned speakers, community leaders, and subject matter experts who will share their insights, experiences, and strategies for successful leadership. Graduates bring back to their organizations valuable business, leadership and entrepreneurial skills, with deeper knowledge of the local socio-economic landscape and new skills in management, planning and strategic thinking.
“Leadership Chester County is an unparalleled opportunity for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in their community,” said Kelly Cockshaw, Director of Leadership & Innovation of Chester County United Way. “Participants will not only enhance their leadership capabilities but also forge meaningful connections with fellow leaders, creating a network of support and collaboration that will endure beyond the program.”
Applicants are sought from diverse professional backgrounds, including nonprofit organizations, government agencies, private corporations, and educational institutions. Prospective participants should possess a strong commitment to community service, a desire to grow personally and professionally, and a vision for the future of Chester County.
The LCC program is administered and facilitated by Chester County United Way, in partnership with West Chester University and Chester County Chamber of Business & Industry.
