Chester County United Way Gives Local Volunteer Firefighter and Alexandra Kay Fan Two Free Tickets to its Upcoming Live United in Music Event

Cate Patterson, mom of two boys and local volunteer firefighter in Honey Brook, discovered that Chester County United Way was hosting its annual Live United in Music event, featuring one of her favorite artists, Alexandra Kay. She quickly created a video of herself singing an original song by Alexandra, “That’s What Love is”, while recreating a classic coffee drink from her go-to coffee shop, Twin Valley Coffee. For reference, Alexandra rose to fame by singing classic country songs while crafting her signature coffee drinks on TikTok.

Chester County United Way President & CEO Christopher Saello said “once we saw Cate’s video and learned that she volunteers her time for our community, we knew we had to invite her to our event. I reached out to Kim Brumbaugh of Brumbaugh Wealth Management and shared with her Cate’s story. As a Honey Brook resident herself, Kim graciously donated two of her sponsor tickets for Cate and a guest.”

When United Way contacted Cate, she was speechless. She shared another video of her singing on her social media page, with the caption: “This morning I got a once in a lifetime phone call from Chester County United Way inviting me to come see my favorite country singer, Alexandra Kay! To say I am over the moon is an understatement. This went from a mom only singing to her boys at bedtime, to a post to shout-out an incredible singer, to an opportunity for an incredible night out and a dream come true!”

Live United in Music is officially sold out for its eighth consecutive year! This event, presented by Citadel Credit Union, will benefit the Chester County United Way Community Impact & Innovation Fund.
