Leadership Chester County (LCC), Chester County’s premiere professional development program, is now accepting applications for its 2022-2023 class. The course meets in full weekday sessions every 3 to 4 weeks from October to May and the deadline to apply is September 30, 2022. Limited spots are available for this program.
Leadership Chester County fosters a vibrant, safe and inclusive community by preparing business leaders to guide nonprofit organizations as board members. Participants explore complex social and community issues, develop leadership potential, form lasting professional relationships, and connect with local nonprofit organizations, positioning them to lead and network in our community. Graduates gain valuable business, leadership and entrepreneurial skills, broadened understanding of the local socio-economic landscape and new perspectives in management, planning and strategic thinking.
The LCC program is administered and facilitated by Chester County United Way with guidance from its partners, West Chester University and Chester County Chamber of Business & Industry.
“Chester County United Way invests in nonprofits and initiatives that build opportunities for a better life for everyone and recognizes that leadership is key to the success of these efforts”, said Stephanie Miller, Chief Operating Officer of Chester County United Way. “Chester County’s business community has joined the United Way enthusiastically in providing leadership to the nonprofit sector to sustain its strong, high quality service organizations.”
Since its inception 21 years ago, the program has had 522 graduates, 140 sponsors and 435 nonprofits have benefitted from LCC graduates on their boards or as staff.
